Works on Paper

Carling Dalenson is pleased announce an exhibition of works by Robert Rauschenberg, James Rosenquist, Jasper Johns, Ellsworth Kelly and Jim Dine.

In 1991 The Museum of Modern Art presented an exhibition called Seven Master Printmakers that included most of the artists and some of the works that we are presenting in the Works on Paper exhibition at Carling Dalenson Gallery. In addition, we have included works by two of the greatest artists of the past century, Andy Warhol and Ellsworth Kelly.

The Works on Paper exhibition offers a glimpse into the innovative drawings and collages that were made by the greatest artists of the 70s and 80s, at the absolute top of their careers and creativity.

For Rauschenberg we are showing two works form the Bellini series. Rosenquist is represented by one unique work that was the basis of the "Crosshatch and Mutations" collage and Monoprint, and two drawings from the 70s. Frank Stella is represented by works from the River of Ponds series, Jasper Johns by a triptych called Red Yellow Blue, and Ellsworth Kelly by his most well known Spectrum series. Finally the exhibition includes a number of unique Andy Warhol prints.
